A wide range of daily activities are held enabling visitors the opportunity to be entertained and experience interactive activities with our local guides.

Summer Program (1 November - 28 February)

As the weather warms up, we recommend arriving early and making use of the cooler part of the day. The summer program operates from 1 November 2017 through to 28 February 2018. Check out the program (pdf 1Mb).

Note: Nature Theatre, free flying bird show runs once daily in summer at 10am.

Winter Program (1 March - 31 October)

The Desert Park Winter program has commenced running 1 March until 31 October 2018.

Changing Heart Big Screen Movie

Screenings throughout the day, with the first screening at 8.30am. Please confirm screening schedule on arrival to tthe Park.

Nocturnal House

Explore the dark and secret world of over 30 rare and endangered desert animals of the night. Plus meet our elusive friends the thorny devil, bilby and mala.

Botanic Wonderland

Over 50 hectares of native plants to discover in three recreated desert habitats.

Aboriginal Survival and Guide Presentations

Learn about the diversity of life in the desert at daily culture, plant and animal presentations. Collect a program on arrival.

Nature Theatre - Free Flying Birds

Witness free-flying birds demonstrating their natural survival skills as they inspire and educate you at the Nature Theartre show.

Kangaroos

Meet Australia's iconic Red Kangaroo up close as yo uwalk amongst their natural environment.

Dingo Territory

Observe our resident dingoes up close and learn about their complex history at daily tasks.

Coolamon Cafe

The air-conditioned Coolaman Cafe is located in the courtyard. Open daily from 8.30am - 4.30pm daily and offers lunch and snack options including pies, sausage rolls, fresh sandwiches, wraps, salads, ice cream and cold drinks.
