Movie at the Park - Beneath Clouds (M)

Enjoy this Australian drama following the journey of two Indigenous teenagers, Lena and Vaughn, thrown together as their paths cross on the way to Sydney. Like all road trips, the physical journey, mostly by foot builds an emotional understanding between them.

Music in the Park

Enjoy local musician Warren H Williams perform at the base of the MacDonnell Ranges surrounded by the soft moon light. Come early to view the Central Australian sunset and relax with dinner or a drink before the concert.

Desert Farm Open Day

Come along to the Alice Springs Desert Park’s FREE Open Day to launch the Desert Farm on Saturday 17 April. Entry to the Desert Park is free with activities kicking off from 9am.
See first hand how this exciting and ambitious project, will move the Desert Park into the twenty-first century by offsetting the Park’s carbon emissions. The quest is to grow and harvest enough native Central Australian seeds, grasses and fruits to feed the Park’s wildlife collection, ultimately reducing our ‘food miles’.
Throughout the Open Day:
- discover how Aboriginals have survived in the desert using the produce grown at the Desert Farm
- take part in guided walks of the Farm experience first hand the Desert Park’s animal collection enjoying the locally grown wild foods
