Come along to the Alice Springs Desert Park’s FREE Open Day to launch the Desert Farm on Saturday 17 April. Entry to the Desert Park is free with activities kicking off from 9am.
See first hand how this exciting and ambitious project, will move the Desert Park into the twenty-first century by offsetting the Park’s carbon emissions. The quest is to grow and harvest enough native Central Australian seeds, grasses and fruits to feed the Park’s wildlife collection, ultimately reducing our ‘food miles’.
