Functions

The Desert Park is one of the most spectacular locations in Alice Springs to hold any event, from a wedding to a catered function such as a gala dinner, a corporate lunch or cocktail drinks for an international business conference. The variety, versatility and views on offer are unbeatable and every event will be an unforgettable experience.

At the Park we are not only able to offer fantastic venues within the Park we are also able to include unique themed ideas, professional guide presentations and delectable menus.

There are a number of locations throughout the Park that are able to host your memorable occasion. Breakfast, morning and afternoon teas, lunches and dinners can all be catered for by the Park’s caterers Wildlife Park Services.

Courtyard

The courtyard is a beautifully landscaped paved space which is suitable for larger groups. As the courtyard is the only access and exit to the Park, it is only available after 6pm. If required it may be possible to have some furnishings and equipment in place before 6.00pm.

Madigans

180 degree Central Australian landscape views through floor to ceiling windows create the ideal atmosphere for any event. Madigans is able to cater for any sized function from a small cocktail party to a formal set menu or relaxed buffet-style function.

Exhibition Centre

The Exhibition Centre consists of a series of museum style galleries and an indoor seated theatre with a 21x7m wide screen which can be lowered to reveal an interrupted view of the MacDonnell Ranges. The theatre is an ideal location for ceremonies, lectures, product launches and other presentations.

Nature Theatre

An outdoor amphitheatre located right at the base of the MacDonnell Ranges the Nature Theatre is an ideal location for ceremonies, concerts, product launches and other functions. The theatre has a natural bush feel and makes the most of the Central Australian landscape.

Nocturnal House

The Nocturnal House provides an exclusive opportunity to mingle with the animals from the desert in the darkness of the night either it be a cocktail or dinner party.

Awaye Flat

Located in the Sand Country Awaye Flat provides an ideal location for interactive activities and unique dining opportunities.

Desert Rivers

Enjoy cocktails or a BBQ dinner at this stunning location with views of the MacDonnell Ranges and Mt Gillen.
